I’m hoping to start my own site soon but I’m a little
lost on everything. Would you propose starting with a free platform
like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that
I’m totally overwhelmed .. Any recommendations? Thank you!
1. Get clear about your intention for your blog. A) do you want to monetize it? Do you wish to serve through your blog? Is it a fun blog you have in mind with the only intention being to share your thoughts?
2. I would go with a free platform. If you have a website, make sure your blog lives on the same site. It is easier to draw visitors to your site through your blog, especially if you provide valuable content.
3. Share your best content, no matter what your blog is about. I love sharing resources like good books and experts in my field. It’s a great way to offer value to your subscribers, build community and connect with like-minded folks.
